For my 40th bd, Mrs. lodwick told me that her parent's were having out of country friends to dinner and we were requested to attend to help "liven" the dinner. I said ok, but was thinking how lame must these folks be if they need us to liven the evening?

Saturday night rolled around and we rolled over to the in-laws; me with trepidation about an evening with losers who required livening. SURPRISE! and Happy Birthday!

Perfectly set up - once gaining some composure at seeing lots of friends so unexpectedly, I had a super time. Mrs. lodwick did well.

once I figured out it was impossible for me to be given surprise birthday party without bill's cooperation
I told him never to go along with it
I used to love my birthday parties as a kid
I dont know why I changed
it's nice you enjoyed the party mrs L threw for you
she did it to make you happy
and it worked
Love, Palo
