There's nothing to forgive at all.
You expressed your feelings about a horrendous event.
Most of us are mature enough to accept another's statements,
without interjecting our feelings and jamming our fellow about his or hers.

I don't have to be "right" anymore - I know I'm not the brighest bulb in the light shop. There's great comfort these days in answering a question, "I'm sorry, I don't know."

Plus it cuts short lottsa lame conversations. ;-)
