Actually, I do not believe in Hell, the traditional way...there are millions that believe that millions of souls are in Hell, which is a place of continuous, horrifying torment, which last for all eternity...
I dont really believe that is Biblical...I find it very hard to reconcile a loving God, who would purposefully send souls to a continuous torment, while perhaps their relatives were in Heaven...How could one have peace in Heaven, if they knew that say, their child or spouse, was in Hell, enduring torment...I just do not see it, and I dont think the Bible is specific on this point...altho there would be many who would disagree with me on this point...and probably would bring in Biblical references to prove me wrong...I am not a Bible scholar, by any means, but what I have read in the Bible, does not indicate to me, that God would be that cruel...
Rather I believe the Bible gives us the options...life everlasting in Heaven, vs eternal death...the reward from God is to spent eternity in Heaven, the punishment is to be dead and know nothing, for eternity...
Just my own thoughts on the matter...
