I had no dial tone this morning so could not get on internet
since bill is technician he checked all the wiring
I thought maybe I was disconnected cause my phone bill was late (it was due 4 days ago)
I waited for my neighbor to wake up to use her phone
Lady at Q-West said an order to disconnect my phone on July 2nd was put in by me
I said I did no such thing
the disconnect order did not have my name on it, but said ''mrs'' and ''spouse'' on it
at first she said I will have to order new sevice, and cannot have phone till July 8th
but then she checked and discovered the dial tone was shut off, but disconnect order had not finished being processed
so she was able to give me dial tone again
Since no one would be that malicious against me, I think it was snafu
but it all worked out happily
Love, Palo

Hooray...Palo has returned...we were very worried about you...we dont want our Palo to be MIA...

You know, I have never had a problem with my local phone service, but three times, within the last few years, I have had my AT&T service disconnected for no reason...when I call about it, the customer service rep checks my file, and always acts dumb, and says they cannot figure out why my long distance service is disconnected....they always have it reconnected by the end of the day, but its irritating when it happens...and especially because they act like tey dont understand why it was disconnected....

At first they try to act all tricky, and claim that probably I did not pay my bill...but when they bother to check my file, they always find that my bill is paid up in full and current...

So often these silly snafus happen...but because I have had this happen a number of times, sometimes I actually do get paranoid...
