I remember when we lived off base, at Ft. Bragg, N.C....we always went down on base for the July 4th celebration..they always had an airborne jumper, and an army band playing all the patriotic songs...and then they also had the 1812 overture...and then fireworks afterwards....

And the line of cars going home, was horrendous...it took us forever to get out of there.....but the kids loved to see that show live, so every year we made the trek down to base, and we really did have a great time...

But the crowds were something else...
