Tori Amos is actually called Myra Ellen Amos. She was a member of an 80's big hair band called "Y Can't Tori Read?".. Good music, miniscule following.. that and she likes swords. Well, a couple years down the road, she puts out an album called "Little Earthquakes" (There's a double entendre there somewhere.....You'd have to read the lyrics, though.) And one song in particular got a lot of play. That song was "Silent all these years". She started the RAINN network (Rape, Abuse, Incest, National Network, formed to help the victims of said circumstances.) The first song from her that I heard was "God" off of "Under the Pink". She's nuts. Somewhat. Her website is Toriamos.com, if it's back up. If you have a good internet connection, you can download some audio clips to see what I am talking about. I guess you could say that she's from a similar wavelength as I, in a way.

I do warn, you might not like her singing style.. it's a like it/ hate it deal.

Kath, insanity unfortunately runs in my family. But, in a way, you are right. It is those who do not fear losing their grip of reality that usually end up losing it. I was cursed (Blessed?) with an overactive imagination. Can be a unique help at times (In the military, it helped quite a bit) and it can be a curse. (Like when I get an idea for a drawing at three in the morning.) I was also cursed/blessed with some mild talent in art, as above mentioned. Comes from both sides of the family, though I rarely show my drawings to anyone. Kinda a "i am terrified of letting anyone see this." deal. Kinda like baring your soul, because true art comes from the artist's own soul and heart. And looking at a painting or drawing is a small window into their mind and soul. Hmmm.. I'm babbling again.
