Could be the Vet and you being away so long .. pets love their families so much .. things like that can upset them

I remember once when I was a kid, my mother was in the hospital for over a week .. our dog would just sit by her bedroom door and wouldn't leave .. she wouldn't eat .. wouldn't do anything until mom finally came back home
