I know you didn't -- but I see some people on FR poo-poo the notion that porn is dangerous. Like they say Westerfield can't be guilty because he's never committed a crime before, and the child porn on his computer doesn't mean anything regarding Danielle's murder. I had just posted that on a thread about that case and copy/pasted it here because I think it might apply to Elizabeth Smart's abduction, too.

Well, I certainly don't think that all perverts that are into child porn go on to abduct and murder children, but there are certainly plenty who do and it needs to be taken seriously.

And then of course there are the children that are used to produce the porn in the first place....what are they if not victims? Sometimes I just can't follow peoples' rationale.
