You should be able to save a scanned photo to your hard drive just by clicking on "file" then "save as" when you've scanned your photo and open it in your photo editing softward, I assume you installed some with your scanner. Save it to a folder you've created for your photos, then name each photo something simple. You also should save them in .jpg format, as they take up less space. Your earthlink membership should provide you with space for storing photos. You might just want to call them and ask them how to set it up or access it. It's not hard once you've tried it. I'll see about copying a page of my photo software with the drop-down menus I'm talking about, and email it to you.

Hi all
We made it to Lafayette LA an hour ago - 410 miles today. The boys are swimming and I'm checking in here for a minute - then I'm going to SLEEP. We had cloudy weather, muggy, but not hot, all day, and seem to have dodged all the thunderstorms surrounding us.
There are bayous around here - how cool! I didn't take many pictures today, the weather was so overcast and the traffic pretty steady, so I kept rolling along. Will be back after a nap.
