Complaints against cell phone carriers surge The wireless airwaves are increasingly filled with the static of discontent, and it's getting on the nerves not only of cell phone consumers but also of state Attorney General Christine Gregoire.
More than 2,200 complaints about wireless companies have been made to the consumer protection division of Gregoire's office in the past 3 1/2 years, division spokesman Chris Jarvis said.
"We're going to be meeting with the top companies to talk to them about the complaint load and what they can do to try reduce the numbers of complaints," he said. No meeting date has yet been set.
Complaints run from billing issues to dropped phone calls to misunderstandings over the plans consumers have signed up for.
Gregoire is also contemplating developing a "report card" for cellular companies that will allow consumers to see how the companies compare.
"The most effective consumer protection is information," Jarvis said.
Leading the pack in complaints since Jan. 1, 1999, is VoiceStream with 677, followed by Qwest with 563, AT&T Wireless with 348, Sprint with 306, and Verizon with 214. MCI WorldCom was not offering service for all of that time, but has 116 complaints in the past 1 1/2 years.

That is a pitiful number of complaints over 3 years. More people than that must complain about their regular land line phones every hour.
Just get one of the pay as you go phones and you won't have to worry about furure bills. Try Phone Shark So9

Pkay, in the light of day, my hair looks weird. I'll wash it a few times in the next couple of days and see if I can get it too look more natural. It's in desperate need of shine, too. I hate obsessing over my hair. How shallow.

More than 2,200 complaints about wireless companies have been made to the consumer protection divisionThese were made just to the state A.G.s office, imagine how many the companies recieved themselves!
You are right about the pre-paid or pay as you go cell phones, thats the way to go.
I thought I was signing up for a plan that was to good to be true, and it was.

Thanks everyone for the good wishes for Nacho. He is kinda quiet today...did not like going to the vet yesterday to have the eyes dialated. He usually is very social and was until yesterday afternoon.
Does anyone know a good website for vet medicine? I tried a couple of the university sites but have not hit on a good addy. Maybe there i can find out something about this eye business. With cats it is so hard sometimes to tell when they are in pain of any kind as they are so good at hiding it. I hope Nacho snaps out of this funk and gets his lively little self back again soon. His brother, Taco, misses him and gets very antsy when Nacho is not with him. and me..I just worry a lot....and tend to fuss over them too.
