I'm going for vibrant red instead of my natural faded reddish blonde ... it's on my head now. Another 10 minutes to go.

Okay, it's done -- it's a coppery red - darker than it was. Looks okay in the indoor light, similar to what my hair looked like when I was a kid. Tomorrow I'll see what it's like in the daylight. At least it isn't some weird unnatural orange or raspberry or purple color.
To: ValerieUSA
When dying your hair it will always be darker then you want .. but after a few washings it will lighten up to what you want

My sister did orange, so I was chicken. *L* This is called "lightest auburn" but it's pretty dark. I don't mind though. At least it is a color and not just "faded".... but I'm sure it will be faded again. This was the first time I ever used a permanent color. I've used those products that wash out in 6 weeks, like Casting, but they would wash out in just a couple of weeks, so it wasn't worth the time to mess with it.
I have a cousin whose hair is different color every time I see her. Usually some shade of red - but not very often a natural shade. I see so many funny reds walking around that I was really chicken. In the morning light I may notice that this color is totally hideous, too. I'll just pretend I like it anyway.

This is what it looked like when I was in kindergarten - it doesn't look this shiny and healthy now, but the color is similar (I think).

Morning, Mo. Just have to ask. In your dreams last night was I the Quaker Oats man or the singing California Raisin or Fabio? It's important. I have to know so I can plan my day: hat or no hat, sing or keep quiet, or just look like Ratty wishes he could look?
To: catpuppy
Hi catpuppy. Looks like you'll have to go back to bed for awhile. Maybe dream up a new identity for Mo.... hmmmm.... Betty Crocker? Pamela Anderson? Sandra Day O'Connor?
