My apologies in advance to any Guilder in Vermont, but I saw this article and think it's a great idea.
LET'S BOCOTT VERMONT!!
Are you as sick of Pat Leahy and Jim Jeffords as I am??? Both of them are responsible for the roadblock to judicial approvals. So this article proposes we let the good people of Vermont know that such stonewalling does not come without consequences.

Vermont relies TOTALLY on tourism for their economy. Let's hit 'em where it hurts. If you know anyone who plans to go see the leaves turning this fall, tell them to go to New Hampshire or upstate New York....anywhere but Vermont!

BOYCOTT VERMONT

(I''ve despised Leahy since the Clarence Thomas hearings...I'd LOVE to see this work)

Vermont is one of the prettiest states. I thought about relocating to Burlington not too long ago, but that area is SO liberal and I knew it would drive me mad. I'm happy to boycott Vermont. Will be doing my fall sightseeing in upstate NY. Already made the plans.

What do they have to boycott except their TeddyBears and syrup?
I may be boycotting them unaware. Thanks.

A friend and I went to Vermont to see the foliage last fall. I just wrote the innkeeper that we would not be returning this year and explained the boycott to him. It
felt good.

Why on earth would they pull my link??? Maybe because I linked it the old (HTML) way?

Anyway, here's the address:

of late.

from Crawford and y'all could hang out with

Thanks mountaineer! Hubby's taking a break so I thought I'd stop by with some links for coloring pages. They can be printed out and then the kids can go to town. These are links for patriotic ones but you'll see there are lots of other subjects to choose from.

Good news for you, Bud...The Men's Fashion Show in Milan has begun....I think these pink pants would look swell on a thin and trim guy like yourself and be sure and wear your Herrara scent with them...you will be a chic magnet for sure. 'Course Mrs. L. would not be happy with that would she?

The Receptionist

There's nothing worse than a snotty doctor's receptionist who insists you tell her what is wrong in a room full of other patients. I'm sure a lot of you have experienced this, and here's the way one old guy handled it.

An 86 year old man walked into a crowded doctor's office. As he approached the desk, the receptionist said, "Yes sir, what are you seeing the doctor for today?"

"There's something wrong with my penis," he replied.

The receptionist became irritated and said, "You shouldn't come into a crowded office and say things like that."

"Why not? You asked me what was wrong and I told you," he said.

The receptionist replied, "You've obviously caused some embarrassment in this room full of people. You should have said there is something wrong with your ear or something and then discussed the problem further with the doctor in private."

The man walked out, waited several minutes and then reentered.

The receptionist smiled smugly and asked, "Yes?"

"There's something wrong with my ear," he stated.

The receptionist nodded approvingly and smiled, knowing he had taken her advice. "And what is wrong with your ear, Sir?"

"I can't p*ss out of it," the man replied.

the other day we were chuckling about Alec Baldwin's commencement address at the Fashion Institute of Technology, but I believe we may have overlooked discussing AlGore's speech to Cambridge College:

When Al Gore drove to the 30th commencement ceremony of Cambridge College yesterday and parked his car in the VIP section - the loading dock of the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center at Roxbury Crossing - he said it was another reminder: His life is in transition. ''I am Al Gore. I used to be the next president of the United States of America,'' were the first words he spoke to the new Cambridge graduates. Rest of story

What a dork. He's been using that tired old line in every speech since December 2000. Get over it, Al.

How awful - any speaker who has to identify themself is in deep caca. al - you are toast. You're bad history.
See if you can't hook up with the doper biker chick in TN.
Take your best friend bent, and go away. Thanks a bunch.

Looks like Al's been in Vienna, Austria, lately, I'm guessing as the guest of a bank. Probably got a few thousand schillings to make a dopey speech. He was in Austria on 9/11/01, too. Funny how he and x42 have certain foreign locales at which they seem to spend a lot of time (x42 in Australia and Ireland). Here's Albert chatting with Austrian president Klestil at a forum sponsored by some bank on June 20:

Attention New Yawkers:

Al Gore, the 2000 Democratic presidential nominee, holds the second of his youth-oriented political events June 27 at Lot 61, a popular nightspot in New York City. The event will be called "Late Night With Al Gore."

The former vice president, weighing another run for the presidency, held the first of his events for young adults at a Washington restaurant in February. Gore plans more youth events this year.

Gore also intends to hold a Democratic summer academy this year like the one he held last year in Tennessee to train young adults about political organizing. source

He is so hip. He's now, he's wow.

How does one define "conservative" and "liberal"? Let me give you an example.

A person is drowning 20 feet from shore. The conservative will throw out a 10 foot line, expecting the drowing person to swim 10 feet to reach it. The liberal will throw out a 20 foot rope which lands right in front of the drowning person...but the liberal has dropped his end of the rope, off to do another good deed somewhere else.
