hi cookie
I found your post interesting
I didn't know your hubby was artist
my hubby did not do it seriously till we moved to tucson
I didn't even know it was a dream of his
I now think when anyone has a dream whether it's writing or painting, or whatever, it's good to give it a whirl
talent is a funny thing
there was one brief period when Nicole, a girl I met in tucson, was also communicating with God
nicole was painter too
God told nicole, ''just get out of the way and the painting will paint itself
get out of the way, and the story will write itself''
that's what I think about talent, you don't know what is there
till you start to do it, and one day you get out of the way, and the story writes itself

Yes, Palo, my husband has always loved art work...he likes to sketch in either pencil or ink, and then he likes to work in oils.....he does not care for water colors...
So he says, he wants to take up painting again...he did paint a few picture for the house, that we hung up...one is Christmas picture, with lots of different Santas, another is like a village scene from Sicily, and another is a prehistoric sealife scene, that he copies from a post card from the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago...
So he does good work, just does not have much time for it right now....but come retirement, he will drag his easel, and pens and pencils, and paints out, and begin...he says it may be the start of a whole new career...and who knows....stanger things have happened..
