ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI, JUNE 27, 2002, 12:00 a.m. CDT (JUNE 27, 2002, 05:00 UTC) - - Steve Fossett and the Bud Light Spirit of Freedom are expected to head back over water in the next hour, this time the Atlantic Ocean. How is Steve preparing? He's getting some much-needed rest. Confidence is high in Mission Control, and everything is running smoothly, thus Steve is taking advantage of the lull in the action.
Currently, located at 51 degrees south and 70 degrees west, Bud Light Spirit of Freedom is flying at 55.6 miles per hour (89.5 km per hour) and at 24,800 feet (7,559 meters). Fossett has now flown 9,406.2 miles (15,137.4 kilometers) since his launch from Northam, Australia, just over eight days ago.

Good morning, everyone. Today my horoscope advises me to "medicate myself privately". This is very fitting advice indeed since last night I was informed that my mother-in- law will be visiting on the next two weekends.
Maybe I should start now.
