ac english names and american names for clothes are not the same
the english say jumper when we say cardigan
when we say jumper, we mean something like a pinafore, a sleevess scooped dress over a dress
we say sneakers and you say something like stalkers (zombie shoes? deathstalkers? I forgot the name)
creepers?

I'm not saying they made Kathleen wear pinafore to catlic school
a jumper is more grown up than pinafore
(and less cute)
that is why gals in catlic school were always hiking up their skirt
