Habs old fellow, I know you have the best interests of the good Gran at heart. The difficulty at the moment is buying shoes which will be comfortable due to the odd conformity of her feet. Additionally, you know how ugly orthopedic shoes are not to mention the price. Therefore, I am keeping her close by so she has not need of shoes and in her condition I am told it helps with the balance to go barefoot.

In short, good habs, do not encourage her in her foolish wants 'tis better she were encouraged in her devotions.
