ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI, JUNE 22, 2002, 6:00 p.m. CDT (JUNE 22, 2002, 23:00 UTC) "You know, my chances of a successful flight almost collapsed this morning when the weather changed," - - Steve Fossett noted in an email to Mission Control. During day four of soaring high above the earth's surface at over 20,000 feet, Bud Light Spirit of Freedom has been forced to make an unexpected dip close to the surface to avoid cyclones in the South Pacific Ocean. Skimming the waves at altitudes as low as 400 feet (121.9 meters), Pilot Steve Fossett has been forced to use full burners to avoid sinking any lower in this deliberate attempt to avoid heavy and dangerous storm fronts over the South Pacific.

All the door folks can sleep easy..
They are probably as drunk as the watchman....
See you all mañana, with a bit of luck....
