Playboy.com polls have arousing the interest and the ire of media outlets since the 'Babes of the WNBA' ballot surface three years ago.
But no poll had ever recieved publicity before it appeared.
Until the 'Sexiest Soccer Player poll', that is.
Sports Illustrated, The Atlanta Journal Constitution, San Francsico Chronicle, Chicago Sun Times and Fox's 'The Best Darn Sports Show Period' all checked in to find about the latest babe-a-thon before the poll was posted on the site.
The media swarm was based partly on the Women's United States Soccer Association admitting it had contacted Playboy.com about doing such a contest-the first time a sports league had contacted the magazine to run the oft-criticized polls.
Any why shouldn't the league market sex appeal?
Actors can be sexy, musicians can be sexy, so why shouldn't athlets flaunt their sex appeal.
That is by far the finest link in the history of Free Republic.
God I love soccer.
Bump for leisurely home perusal.
The truth is not glamourous. But it is the truth.
Regards, Ivan
I intend to do an in depth investigation into this fraud. Anyone else who is interested in the truth, here is what seems to be the website of the photographer, although it is in Portuguese (not that I really read the articles).
This may take me a couple days, and it could get nasty (if I'm lucky), but I WILL get to the bottom of this. I tend to keep fully abreast of the situation. I will leave no crack unexamined.
Wish me lick, er, I mean, luck.
