I've gotten lots of questions and commentary concerning Hubble images.
"Are they real photos?"
"Is this what I would see through a telescope?"
"It's just data; they make it look the way they want."
"Are those colors/structures/details really there?"

I found this page which I hope will answer any questions about Hubble images and their authenticity.

interesting stuff there..
although the chances of seeing the things the hubble sees with the naked eye is pretty slim..
i myself would rather have the colored version..
there are probably purists out there that want the real (dull) version, but why?
