Ok...I read post #59, and I'm just curious how these gems of wisdom were recieved by the readers here...seems to me this poster would have been slapped down hard and quick without any official intervention and eventually they would have stopped posting out of sheer embarrasment in reaction to the flames. Are the flamers here getting soft or what?
Mostly ignored. That is one of the problems (if it can be called that) with the newer software that allows one to see the replies to one in the self-search. The full threads get loaded less frequently because of it, and individual comments tend to go unnoticed except by those who the comment was specifically made to.
Here, go and check. You won't see his posts, but in each of these, no one hit abuse. They stayed up on the forum until about 4 hours after he was banned (that is how long it took until Jim woke up for the day and decided to nuke). These are the comments I mentioned above.

That's enough for now. As I was compiling this for you, I noticed something. Nearly all of his replies were made to either himself (so only he would see it unless the thread was loaded) and to JohnHuang2 (who gets so many replies that there is no way he could see them all).
