Well, it's been 4 years since I first found Free Republic. I have always felt like I belonged here and have really enjoyed the banter back and forth between us members. I am afraid all this is now over. I am really suprised and shocked at it's suddenness. Before I leave I want to thank a freeper from Michigan who sent me a DVD player last year to give to my kids for Christmas. You reaffirmed my faith in humanity.
I know this thread will be deleted before many people get to read it, but I just can't go without saying a final word. Every since 911 the 'vibe' here at FR has been decidedly hostile. I guess it was a matter of time before the newbie moderator got around to weeding me out for my sometimes unpopular views. So I join the ranks of A+Bert and so many others who gave FR a interesting flavor. I will miss coming here 20 times a day and keeping up on things. But without posting priviledges there is just no point. I must go find another conservative group to try to be a part of.
In the future, when a freeper who has been a loyal member since August 1998 crosses the line, how about a note instead of banning? Would that have been too much? I may have gotten out of line, how is beyond me, but if such a tresspass would have been pointed out I would gladly have refrained from doing so again. It is just not right to just ban an account with no explaination. Especially when the freeper has been here 4 years. I have no idea what I am going to do with my days now that I no longer have FR. Well, I guess I have said my part. It is a sad day when one has to leave family and friends. I feel like some of you were just that. But apparently I am no longer wanted around here. I bid my good day to you all and hope that karma pays it's respects to those who do injustice.
Oh, come on.. This would just wind up backfiring and make the people who call us all racists believeable if Mr. robinson had allowed those posts to stand.
They would shreek: "See! See! Right there, they are all just a bunch of racists in conservative clothing.. See!"
PS: (speaking of flameouts and opuses, anyone remember that leftist guy who said he was from the "center for intelligent discourse" or whatever who called us all names and used foul language.. LOL! It was so hysterical.. I laughed till I cried over that guy.)
You shouldn't be down on yourself like that.
:-)
P.S. It takes a big man...
This has nothing to do with race it's about political activism. I've had several post pulled SOLEY because it went against the official government line.
Does this mean you want a refund on the nekkid photos of them you ordered?
Look around you.. People HATE us. They are everywhere.
Censoring this guy's racist views does two things.
1) Prevents him from using Mr. Robinson's board as a forum to air his racist views. (in clear violation of FR policy, I might add.)
2) It doesn't give the people who do hate us ammunition to inspire even more people to hate us.
And it's a "sad day" because we have "censorship" ?
Oh, Come on..
Yup,you have to be VERY careful when dealing with the Bush-Bots. This is ESPECIALLY true of the female ones, who seem to have fantasies about Bubba-2 that are best not discussed here. I've found it helpful to add a final sentence like you will see below.
BTW,doesnt't Bubba-2 look just DREAMY in his new sombrero?
This is the last post that I had censored by FR. Any racism here? No it is not the "official line" so it was pulled.
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
If it can be him today, it can be US tomorrow. Also, note that he's only guilty of possessing plans for a dirty bomb. Isn't that simply a "thought crime"?
<<<<<<<<<<<
You are right about it could be you or me tomorrow. I think this guy is guilty of absolutely nothing at this point. He has not even been charged yet.
As an American citizen he should be charged or let go. If charged he should recieve a fair trial just like any other criminal in this country.
There is no prisoner designation in our criminal courts for "Combatant". If they outlaw firearm ownership today could you not be considered a combatant tomorrow if you fail to comply? Designated as such couldn't you be stripped of your Constitutional Right to due process?
Richard Jewel was falsely accused by this same agency. If he had been wisk off to a naval stockaid and tried before a military tribunal he probably would still be in jail and we would all be convinced that the Olympic bomber had been caught.
This can be done without pissing on the Constitution. The threat to liberty and freedom comes from Washington not Afghanistan. It's not Osama that denies an American citizen due process in this country. It's not the Taliban that allows law enforcement to break in and search your house and papers without a search warrant with no prior evidence of criminal activity. It's not Saddam that requires you to jump through hoops and do flips in order to own a firearm for self defense.
Uh oh!
Now when he calls it is "Guess what? with a chuckle in his voice.
Plus I do think it takes a lot of courage to get kicked out of the bar and show up the next day to buy more beer.
I love the guy.
Seems like this guy must have never heard of Margaret Thatcher or Golda Maheir (sp),doens't it? Never mind Joan of Arc or Queen Victoria. Dere's bin sum really tough ladies out there!"...
Personally, I think the guy was wrong about women--at least his rationale. However, I am a woman and I think women in political office (99% of the time) is a bad idea. Look at all the female lawmakers currently in Congress--and in past Congresses...they tend to 'think with their heart and not their head'...the touchy-feely method of governing [no play on the Perverted Presidenet intended] does not make good law.
Generally, women want to kiss all the owies and make everyone feel better--leaving the costs of such decisions to someone else.
Hopefully, this isn't a bannable offense--if so, I enjoyed knowing ya all this time, sneaky!
