I let Lulu take me to the apartment complex
(it's her favorite place)
she prolly likes sniffin' the bushes for cats
but it has green grass all around it
with water sprinklers on
so I took off my sandals, squished my toes in grass
and let sprinklers drench my dress
it made walk much pleasanter
I noticed our mountains are obscured by fine haze
I bet it is that haze which is magnifying the light
and addin' to the heat
