"Now with moderators, it is down to a level of personal insults which one can tolerate."

Its not just the moderators. It is a lot of things. But the truth is that FR as it is now is mostly just a Party based cheer leading chat room. Not many people are learning anything. People are not fired up for any conservative causes. There is almost no unification that provides a useful purpose or gets anything done. It is just a bunch of WRAA WRAA REPUBLICANS ARE GREAT---YEAH YEAH---WE LOVE BUSH. I will never forget the way things used to be. The way people came together and got things done. Some hit the streets- the phones- Letters...What ever and some just got the message out to there neighbors. But everyone was united Not just for there country....but to preserve the principles by which it was founded and which it stood. You can't know the meaning of unification if you never saw that. And it will never be here again as things stand now. Socialism seems to be everywhere these days. Even in the minds and hearts of those who claim to be conservatives. I am not against some moderation, but things go way beyond that now. Nothing I can say will change that. That is why I rarely get in the mood to post anymore. But no one can ever take away my memory's of a time when I felt personally connected with almost every Freeper here. And above that we all had a far grander purpose.
