Kind of reminds me of that old Twilight Zone episode where this kid has all these powers and will think terrible things to happen to the adults who fail to act according to his wishes. When he walked into the room, the adults would wet themselves and fawn over the little tyrant so he wouldn't turn them into a jack-in-the-box or something.
That is how some of these folks act when Jim posts to a thread. I don't blame JR for this--he has been nothing but cordial and quite decent in the limited contact I have had with him. But some around here take grovelling to new depths. Geez.

The new 'Guinness' record for patience shown by a 'webmaster'?
There should be no 'civil rights' for the uncivil. Bless you, Jim, for FreeRepublic, and your patience.

LOL! Nobody! It's a beautiful day. The birds are singing, etc. A little warm, though. God bless whoever invented air conditioning.
Really, I am very happy. : 0 )

Yep, cept for all the whacked out sycophancy to follow. Don't forget about the whining cynical posts of tiny rebels.

"Personally, I couldn't care less if they expunged my account and blocked my IP" Ok, seeing as how you are having a little problem here with your FR addiction, I've enrolled you in the quick and dirty one step cold-turkey FR prevention program. Now. Is that better?

I don't care what other bills get paid, I WILL have my AC!
The South would be intolerable without it.

PS: About who invented air conditioning...

I hear ya'. It's at least 95 here in Louisiana.
Well, you have given me a new hero: God Bless Willis Haviland Carrier, all his descendents and their offspring forever. May they have long lives, prosper and live off the fat of the land.
If I ever have a son, I will consider naming him Willis.

>Damn, Jim. Quite a rant.Yes, but in my original post, I ended by saying:
"Instead of complaining, I think the best course of action is just to enjoy the remnant of the cool people who remain, and then move on."
I actually advised people not to complain...

(Oh, oh. Could Jim have singled me out because [gasp] people have figured out who I really am?! Argh! If I get the boot again, please, someone, tell LaBelleDameSansMerci that I love her. (And, please, if LBDSM is really a guy, I just don't want to hear it...))
