The latest news is that she was flown to Stanford on May 28th. Though we think that she has passed the "life or death" stage, she is still very, very ill. The biggest concerns are whether she'll be able to talk, how extensive the damage to her vision is and whether she will need the tracheotomy permanently. Her throat is still full of lesions and the doctors worry that her airway will become closed due to scar tissue. They worry that the same thing will happen to her vocal chords.
