... the resulting noggin-knocker ...

Maybe he's hinting that he wants to try out for the varsity soccer team. If Swerve could do it, I'm sure your dog is capable of damaging his brain, too.

John was great with the dogs. I used to see the truck pull into the yard, and notice after a few minutes it was still there. John would have the door open and would be making the dogs sit before he would give them treats. I offered to supply him with dog bisquits now and then, but he insisted on buying them.

I hear you have been having a lot of rain. Good! Will sure help the range. We got our place leased again, to a big outfit from Wyoming. We went in with our neighbors and this outfit leased both our places.

We have been getting plenty. Looking at the mountainside meadows as they go up to the top of the mountains--it is a sea of green...definite green, not just a 'haze' of green.

I'm still waiting for it to be dry enough to get out in the back and start pulling the easy shallow rooted weeds and then I can whack the rest down! It was all wet this morning....and when the girls came in to be fed, they were wet--and a little muddy, as though they had been in a flower bed!

I went to prep school. We didn't head the ball, we had staff to do that for us.

That's great as we don't have an irrigator until this week when the lease starts. These folks are bring 450 pairs...sure hope they take care of the fences! The people we bought the ranch from let the place run down pretty bad, but they put in the best fences in the county.

Did the cheerleaders make out with the staff, too, to spare the preppy "athletes" from that common sweat-inducing labor?

I know...dork is a funny word that you seldom ever hear. I might be age-dating myself; although Ratty would probably offer that would require Carbon 14 technology.

It's too bad his parents couldn't pay for charm school, too, but they about keeled over when they took him in for the estimate.

Good fencing makes the best of neighbors....besides, it keeps your livestock where they're supposed to be. :)

No, Southern Cheerleaders don't sweat, though they may get a bit dewey when they reach the toe curling screaching point.

Well, that's a lot better than Swervie... he's "self-dating" himself. That is how he ruined both shoulders, requiring reconstructive rotator cuff surgery.

It was Texas, and it's legal if you have an adequate staff.
