Like Ann Coulter said last night, she hopes that Al Gore will run around insulting Bush and attacking him over the war effort all over the country, and that then the RATS will run him for president again. I don't think people like so much nastiness and it is obvious that the RATS are just being nasty because they don't have anything else to work with. Heaven forbid that one should ever have an original thought or idea!

Why does that article make you angrier than anything else -right out of the blue? I agree that there are black racists trying to manipulate public policy and get their way pushed through the courts -- but their success is waning FAST.
But I must say that since I have been in Texas I actually did hear a man who bragged about his Rottweiler's trained hatred of black people -- men, women or children -- the dog would snarl and lunge and scare them. He was in a cafe with a bunch of buddies and some of them were agreeing, saying it's the funniest thing they ever did see, and using foul racist terminology.
You've been in the south longer than I have - you must know that white racism against blacks exists, too. The hatred and fear must be acknowledged on both sides of the issue before it will cease to be such a divisive factor in America.

We went up to the memorial at Columbine. It was a deeply moving experience. There were 15 crosses on the hill. 2 were taken down at one point but they were put back at the insistence of the students. All of the crosses had messages on them and there were some incredible messages of forgiveness scratched on the crosses of Dylan and Eric. I believe it was the father of one of the victims that had removed the two crosses.

Where the memorials were on the grounds in the park (not the crosses) I don't think I have ever seen so many flowers and teddy bears and balloons and various offerings in my life. It was really something. In a remote portion of the park, some students constructed a crude memorial for the 2 killers that stood in stark contrast to all the beautiful sentiments and adornments of the other 13.
