Excellent sit rep. Props to you and dh for making the effort. I will cop to being a check writer, although I use email to encourage participation, and to inform.

The real damage was done when they did away with the poll tax. If people who have no stake in the system, except to perpetuate their leechdom, have the right to vote what the heck do we expect to happen? This will sound harsh, and "unfair" to some, but I am truly sick of funding those who make no effort to better themselves, their children, their neighborhood, their community, or their country. Really sick of it. /rant

Humorous Cindy Adams column about celebrity perfumes: here

What next? Rocky Balboa Sly Stallone's male deodorant - Rock's Reek? TV's nice lady could dredge up Rosie's Nosie? The rocker Pink out with Pink's Stink? Judi Dench's Stench? Eminem's Emanation? Soon-Yi's wildly sexy exotic mankiller could maybe stir up Woody's Woodsy? Oprah's Odorama? For outdoorsy types addicted to bulls and manure, possibly something manufactured by O.J.?

Of couse, those leeches you describe all vote Democrat, because the Dems drive them to the polls, pay them to vote (or not to vote, depending on the circumstances), make sure their dead grannies vote, too, etc. etc.

From Page Six:

We hear that Sens. Hillary Rodham Clinton and Chuck Schumer were among the Democrats who stayed away from the barbecue President Bush threw Wednesday on the White House lawn. This is a bash that originally had been scheduled for Sept. 11

Couple of class acts, those two. Also in that column, this Richard Blow quote about lil' Georgie Snuffaluffagus:

"He’s the Paris Hilton of the media," Blow declares, "making incessant appearances at New York society parties and premieres. Readers of The New York Times’ wedding pages will remember that he even appeared to milk his own wedding [to ‘WASP Cookbook’ author Alexandra Wentworth] for professional gain. Was that a guest list or a Renaissance Weekend reunion?"

;-) Thanks for Cindy's insight - I really needed that mental pic.

When the dims will turn in ballot boxes with more ballots than registered voters in the precinct - we've got problems. When they're not called on it, we could have a real disaster.

In this part of town, the dim county clerk's favorite trick is to 1) not give us enough ballots, and when told about it 2) keep the polls open another two hours so they can go empty another housing project or however they manufacture more dim votes. True story!

In one of the Pittsburgh suburbs on election day, 2000, the head of the local NAACP, one Tim Stevens, was observed driving vanloads of mental patients from Mayview State Hospital to the polling place nearest the hospital. Nevermind that the patients were not permanent residents of that precinct nor had they registered to vote there (if they were registered at all, it was in the towns and neighborhoods where they actually lived prior to their hospitalization). Any guesses as to how many Gore votes came from that exercise? At other Pittsburgh polling places, Republicans who had been registered for years were told they weren't on the list and therefore could not vote, while unregistered Dems were permitted to register and vote on the spot.

OMG! Your story makes my pale by comparison! Although, I'm not sure I'd count on the loonies to come through for me. ;-)

Janet looks like she's really losing it. Normal people don't play air guitar on their seat belt.

Fabulous report! Thanks! "Our base" also includes anyone with an IQ above room temperature and a basic sense of human decency.

Cups, schmups. Last night I engaged in my favorite sport, Liberal Bating. A friend of a friend lives nearby and we had a get-acquainted phone call. She described herself as left of left, so I had a little fun with her. Naturally, we're NOT going to become friends.

This morning, proof that there is a God. I woke up to find a gorgeous FLOWER blooming bright, vivid orange in my poor, sad, wannabe garden, where no sun has shone all year. Rain, clouds, gloom, cold, all the time. And yet, a poppy blooms. This may seem like no big deal to those who live in normal climates, but for moi, it's noteworthy bordering on miraculous.

The only way Martin Sheen has a clue as to what to think is if someone else writes it out for him. What other reason could there be for his support of Reno/Gore/MoronsUSA(McAuliffe's Clown Posse)?

Hey everyone! So the "Chelsea/Virginia Kelly" alcoholic spin machine is out in force blaming Ian for Chelsea's alcoholic behavior huh? Let's see how long it will take for Ian to say "bye-Bye." I wonder what his parents think of this. I wonder if they know they've raised a bad, bad, boy? LOL,LOL, Oh boy those Clintoons are a sick pair! Nothing is ever their fault.

So the Hilda beast and Chuckie didn't attend Bush's Bar-b- qu? I hope NY sees this. I wonder if Rush was there? HA! HA! HA! HA! Just kidding.
