These are the sort of threads that get liberals all giggly. The conservative pi**ing contests that show up from time to time are really played. Dan's totally right in his post above, if you want to make the party more conservate, get involved in the party. It ain't changing on it's own, unless it goes even further left. Find a candidate that deserves to be in office, work your a** off for the candidate and good things will happen everywhere.
I'm disappointed in some of W's moves too, but he's working up there without a net. People forget just what kind of job it really is. Check out the before and after photos of the presidents, they never look the same, even the one termers.
Of course, the exception would be x42, who fed on the misery of the country under his soiled heel, and treated the office like an 8 year trip to Hedonism.
I think W will be alright, eventually. At least I hope he leaves the country a little more conservative than he found it, which isn't necessarily the case right now. Just look at the stuff he's had to face in his time in office. Just my late-night, should be in bed 2 cents.

you know what amazes me is that it is 3 AM, I just tucked my wife into bd and this thread is going strong. I love political jousting and I am not asking for dissent. I just want us to be all the same page.
