I just remembered.. when I was in my sister Jill's wedding I wore a green velvet dress with huge puffy sleeves and a taffeta ribbon and petticoat. About 3 years ago I re-made it into a RenFaire costume. I still have it around here somewhere... for a RenFaire emergency.

My favorite bridesmaid dress was in one of my sister's weddings,too. She was married in January and we wore long, dark emerald velvet hostess skirts that had wide velvet belts and the top were blouses made of cream colored charmeuse satin. They had tiny covered buttons down the front, the sleeves were long with french cuffs. We carried bouquets of ecru and yellow roses with a few lillies of the field. The nice part was that afterwards we all got lots of wear out of that outfit. After wearing it long a couple of times I cut it off to dress length and wore it a few more times.
