Beautiful post, (((DJ))). I know how proud you must be of your boys and how full your heart is. Mark's faith and words were surely an inspiration and blessing to all who were there. They were to me, too.
Did things go smoothly for you with the reception and its organization?

Well...the reception didn't go as smoothly as it could have...too many chiefs and not enough indians, as the old saying goes. Many of the people went to the cemetary; I chose not too. So I went into the kitchen to start bringing out food for the people who out there waiting for them to come back, and a few of the Mom's decided THEY wanted to be in charge and decided that the people outside would have to wait to eat. So I let them take over the reigns. I got done what I was asked to do, and that was all that matters. It wasn't about me, it was about Ryan's family. If people want to make themselves feel more important by taking charge, so be it. I told them that I was leaving and they could handle it from there on out. (I was very nice). As it so happened, as I was opening the door to the house, the phone was ringing, and it was Mr. DJ calling to tell me he had caught a different flight and could I pick him up? Had I stayed, he would have been stuck at Tampa International Airport. So you see...God has reasons for everything. :-)
