I've had Bassets ever since I was a little one myself! Our "family" Basset adopted me, though, and was my shadow for years. I wasn't allowed to name her, although I wish I had been! I doubt I would have picked the name "Bones!"

There is nothing better than a basset...the wriggling, the squirming, the porky butt, the baying(Arrroooo), the fur shedding, the drooling, the 'houndy' smell, the big sad eyes, the slobber flying, the loud drinking, the hunt for food...
Now some may look at the description and say 'Yuck'...I look at that description and say 'Heavenly'...
