The hubby had a grand trip, and really enjoyed himself in Chicago, saw many of his old friends, sampled many brews and restaurants and food in Chicago, and saw lots and did lots...
He met up with Mr_Magoo, who posts here at FR, and Mr_Magoo and the hubby and his friend, went to the cemetary where Al Capone is buried, and Mr_Magoo guided them to Al Capones grave...the hubby got a gravestone rubbing of the grave....
The hubby also visited the cemetary where much of my family is buried, and was able to take gravestone rubbing of my brother, uncle, grandmother, grandfather, great aunt, greatgrandmother and greatgrandfather...that was just wonderful of him, so take the time to do these rubbings for me...I sure appreciated it...
The hubby did not bring me dollies, but instead brought me a few wonderful items...first he got me this wonderful pillow, with three snappily dressed piggies(I love pigs, almost as much as I love bassets)...on the front of the pillow, you see the front of the piggies...on the back of the pillow, you see their cute fats rear ends, in their fancy clothes...
He also got me a t-shirt, with a big bassety face on it,(for Helga and Lulu), and another t-shirt with a big Himalayan kitty on it(For Dizzy)....
He also got me another small figurine of a basset to place atop my computer, alongside the other basset figurine he bought me not long ago...Such a good hubby....
Well, he had a wonderful time in Chicago, but is glad to be home again...he went down to the Fishtale Pub this afternoon, to buy a growler of freshly brewed local beer, and then went on to Luckys Tavern, to get two orders of their delicious broasted Chicken, and jo-jo potatoes...he figures he and I are still on vacation until Monday evening(when he returns to work) and he figures that I should not have to cook again until Monday....
And bless his heart, he actually complimented me, on the fact, that I had any money left at all, from my bankdroll...I did not have much left, but he was surprised that I had anything left...he himself returned with about 1/5 of his initial bankroll....considering that he took a rather large bankroll with him, I can see by what he spent, that he did indeed have a grand time...
But thats just fine with me...he works so hard, and works lots and lots of overtime, so of course, he should be able to enjoy the fruits of all that hard work...and enjoy he did...and I am glad for that...
