when my nyc life collapsed on my head I asked God what to do?
God said ''move''
''move where?'' I said
''Tucson,'' God said, ''your aunt is there and she can help you''
''but we have the dog and no car or drivers license, how can we get there?''
''take the airplane, the airplane accepts dogs,'' God said
''what about all our stuff?''
''leave it behind,'' God said, ''just take your computer, your writing, and the books which comfort you''
a month after that conversation we moved into our Tucson apt
my tucson aunt rented us an apt which accepted dogs
best thing we ever did
making the decision to do it was hard, it took courage
but the actual doing of it was easy
in nyc you can leave all your stuff behind in apt
at that time the homeless people used to sell on streets
so we took it all down for them to sell
Bill UPS boxes of stuff we wanted
but a year after we were in tucson, I gave most of that stuff to Good Will
Love, Palo
