Palo...when you mentionned 'snowballs' that rang true to my mind...in Chicago, my grandmother had these great big bushes, full of white flowers, that we also called 'snowballs'....but if I remember correctly, each 'snowball' was not itself a huge flower, but rather was made up of hundreds of smaller little flowers, which all grew close together in one place, and they formed a big cluster we called a 'snowball'...dont know for sure if that is what you are referring to, if if that is really what Grans bushes are...
But it did trigger a pleasant memory for me of my grandmothers garden, full of big bushes of these 'snowballs' along with several lilac bushes, and lots and lots of hollyhocks...
What is Miss Lulu up to? Has she had her first feeding of Kraft Singles yet? Or is she still being lazy, and snoozing?...Shes a darling gal...

hi andysmom
yes I remember snowballs as big cluster of little flowers
mostly they were white (were there pink ones too?)
(wasn't it a dowdy flower?)
do you think that is what chickie has?
Lulu and Happy are watchin' the cat family from the window, they find it endless source of amusement
it is hotter than blazes today, and our mountain is on fire
the smoke is closing out mountain from view and prolly driftin' over tucson too
that is where haze comes from
900 firefighers are up there fighting it now, but it's still spreadin'
swimmin' pool was frosty and delicious
Bill bought new bathing suit while I was in market
(he doesn't like shoppin' and waited till his suit had hole in it)

Love, Palo

I never was crazy bout snowballs, but funny thing is they trigger more memories for me (too) than the other flowers
that is why I love them so much
