Wanna See Something Pretty Darn Freaky?

Coincidence is coincidence, right?
Say you're thinking about a plate of shrimp.
Suddenly someone says plate,
or shrimp, or plate of shrimp.
Out of the blue.
No explanation.
No use looking for one either.
It's part of the lattice of coincidence
that lays on top of everything.
Tracey Walter as Miller in "Repo Man" (1984)
Or maybe not.
Coincidence is the fabric of magic.
- Margali Zsardos; Excaliber#83 - Warren Ellis
Really?
The difference between fiction and reality?
Fiction has to make sense.
- Tom Clancy
Good. 'Cause this doesn't.
"This" is a single Federal Reserve Note, denomination of "20", folded. Both "images" created by the folding are shown as equal sides, i.e. the bill need not be remanipulated to show the reverse side, simply turned over.
Once is an accident.
Twice is a coincidence.
Three times is enemy action.

The one that resembles the two WTC towers even has one smoke cloud lower on the building than the other, as photos of the buildings actuall show!
The Pentagon one is pretty spooky, too.

Thank you!! Yes, exactly... it's the asymmetry of the "burning" of the "towers" image that really makes it spooky.
Ahem, for us "easily amused" types, of course.

Yeah, but you're still good-lookin'! xoxoxoxoxo

No, thanks, Miss Anna, I'm unspun by plenty of freakishness each morning in the mirror, thanks all the same.

Thanks for the link!! When I was in the "food and beverage industry" in NYC I had a customer that always left me "origami tips". I loved them. (My favorites were shirts and roses.)

BTW, I have a history of such madness: CAPTION THIS!!!!! (EGADS!) (If you haven't seen this before it's worth the scroll, the first series of "lost images/broken links" never worked... "it" doesn't show up 'til #40... a little trippy... especially if you're "easily amused"... ;^)

Well, if it makes you feel any better, at the moment I clicked on this thread I was researching Asherah groves in the KJV. It seems that the 'root' is the same as ashurim or te'ashur, boxwood, the stuff they make all those topiary images with. From TWOT:
183 (ashar) [Stg: 833] to go (straight), walk.
DERIVATIVES
183a (esher), (ashar) [Stg: 835] happiness, blessedness.
183b (osher) [Stg: 837] happiness.
183c (ashur), (ashur) step, going.
183d (ashur) [Stg: 838] step, going.
183e (asher) [Stg: 839] Asher.
183f (ashurim) boxwood.
183g (te'ashur) [Stg: 8391] boxtree.
183h (ashera), (ashera) [Stg: 842] Ashera.
There's no further info given about the box tree or boxwood, but...
Asherah. Both a Canaanite goddess and a wooden cult object in the OT. The
word is translated "groves" in the KJV presumably on the basis of the LXX
alsos and nemus in the Vulgate.>>>
>>>To turn to the OT, there is no actual description of an Asherah there.
Was it a tree, a pole, some kind of tree symbol, an image? It apparently was
not a natural object but one that was constructed by man, an artifact. It
was "made": 1 Kings 16:33; 2 Kings 17:16; 2 Kings 21:3; it was "set up": 2
Kings 17:10; 2 Chron. 33:19; Isaiah 27:9; it was "built": 1 Kings 14:23.
Only once is the verb "to plant" used, Deut. 16:21, and here the meaning is
"implant." The conclusion then is that in the OT Asherah stands for the
Canaanite goddess represented by a carved wooden image implanted into the
ground, usually adjacent to an altar dedicated to the god Baal and located
on a hilltop under a leafy tree (Patai).<<<
***
Now I was wondering if these mysterious grove abominations were topiary trees, snipped into the form of who-knows-what, but in any case they were abominations. So I started to search for 'ashurim' (groves), which is spelled same as the above mentioned boxwood, only to then notice that the word was very similar to the word for "twenty" (esrim). Well actually, the first letter/vowel is different (alef for ashera and ayin for esrim), but otherwise the rest of the letters are the same.
It was then that I clicked on your thread. Gee I hope that helps! :-)
