What is a Freeople?? ....
A Freeople - it's kind of a long, evolving story. But I'll give it a shot. Last year, a whole bunch of us were banned from another site for what seemed to be pretty arbitrary reasons, like committing the sin of addressing a post to another poster. Many of us found our way over here, and a "reunion" thread was begun. After a few threads, the name became "You People" because of the way we had been addressed by the staff on the other site. The thread name evolved to Freeoples, for People who Freep. I think. Anyway, it has been evolving, we discuss politics, post links to stories that are pushing our buttons, have heated discussions on issues of the day, have friendly discussions, joke around, etc. I hope you drop by now and then and join us

Rant ahead!! Turn back NOW, for your own good!!

How do I respect Bush? Let me count the ways...

He skillfully attained the release of the EP-3 crew from China.
He held up funding for U.N. NGOs that encourage abortions. INFURIATING the abortionists.
He changed the classification of the fetus so that it would be considered a human, enabling many poor women to have PRE-natal care under EXISTING programs. This ALSO INFURIATED the abortionists.
He DEFIANTLY called for freedom of Religion and Individual rights, standing 10 feet from Chiang Zemin, and LIVE on Chinese TV.
During the SAME speech he ALSO said he WOULD protect Taiwan.
He gave an EXTRAORDINARY LIVE press conference with the Russian President, in Crawford Texas at the High School. ANYBODY who saw it, would have NO doubt that Putin and Bush are sincere in their efforts to change the relationship between our countries.
He passed the tax cut.
He stood in the Reichstag today, and criticized the NAZIs and called for the safety of ALL Jews living there. Think about that one for just a second...
He waited a few days AFTER Carter returned from Cuba, then went to Miami and gave a speech refuting everything Carter said all week, and threatened INCREASED sanctions, while encouraging Cubans to overthrow Castro.
The Leftist Coast residents mock him non-stop, so he goes there and raises 4.5 million for Simon... at ONE event. And he ALSO stops by the riot sites on the anniversary. VERY smoooooth.
He has sent up Judicial nominees that make Leftists contort into human pretzels in their efforts to find fault with them. Thus revealing the hatefulness of Leahy in a spotlight's glare. hehehehe!!!
He REFUSES to buckle under to their incessant, arrogant, 'separation of powers' breeching, fishing expedition, information ~~demands~~ requests.
He used political judo on the latest 'full goose bozo' blitz of a smear campaign launched by the rats and the media shills, to turn the full force of their attack back against them. (It was, and continues to be, a thing of beauty) His poll numbers have risen a point or so since then. I have been so infuriated by this BRAZEN attempt, that I have been beyond OUTRAGED for a few days. I even turned off the TV, because I thought I would be driven to violence by the traitorous things they were all saying. I have NEVER seen anything like this shit. This HAS to be their vaunted 'Nuclear Strategy.' Personally, I believe their ONLY hope is to provoke "W" to the point that he lashes out at them and 'exposes' himself to the public. But "W" is NO rat, and won't take the bait. The Rats mistakenly believe that everybody thinks in the same twisted fashion that they do. Idiots.
The way he handled the whole 9/11 tragedy.
The way he has prosecuted the war.
He has made the Rats soooooooo nervous, that they won't even release a BUDGET proposal!!!!!! And to FURTHER mock them, "W" told the Republicans that 'since the rats won't release one, then it will be up to me to hold the line on spending.' Did y'all catch that one??

For somebody who says 'what he means,' there sure are a lot of hidden meanings and unseen jabs in the things I have heard him say.
etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. I am sooooooo sick of the Bush Bashing, I just had to think back for a second to remind myself of ALL the things that have happened since 1-21-01.
