All depends on where you get the tattoo. Some parts of the body are incredibly painful. Some there is virtually no pain, especially when doing the shading.

I got mine on the outside of my arm, it wasn't to bad. But I could see that a barbwire or tribal band around my arm and more importantly under my arm is going to be a bitch. My brother has one on his ankle and he has a tribal band & he said they both hurt like hell.
