I liked how last night ended. I thought that it was good that the show didn't conclude with a last second rescue, like so many bad tv shows do. I didn't like that Jack was the one who captured Nina, or that when they got the good news they seemed to forget about Terri. (They seemed to let her roam around a top secret office.) It would have been better if Nina didn't get out of the bldg, and Jack confronted her in detention.

I was disappointed with how the show presented Palmer's wife. The show never developed her as a person. Either Palmer was living with this horrible witch for decades and never knew it. Or he just decided to end a decades old marriage, because of one bad day. If they are going to give her character so much air time then they should have tried to show a more complete character.

The longer the series ran the more it became apparent that "Palmer" was a puppet who was being directed by various unseen groups. His wife' function was probably to make sure his shoes were tied and his zipper was up. The few times during the show when he decided to depart from his keepers rules he was brought back in line by his assistants or his supporters. Getting rid of his wife was probably a good step for him but we don't know if he can find his way back to the hotel room without secret service help.
