The birds seem to start singing here way before dawn.. I heard Momma Crow this morning for the first time.. The new ones must be big enough for her to leave the nest for awhile.. You will never see or hear her before then..

I always wait every spring to hear her gobble, so glad that she lived thru another winter.. She sounds like a Turkey, and I hear that she may be a Raven because of that special call.. Her mate is a Crow tho..and they have been together for years and years.. Much longer than we've lived here.. She is a neighborhood friend and everyone knows her...

never a peep out of our birds till 20 minutes after dawn
they sleep late
