I have not baked cake from scratch since practically forever
even as kid (which is when I did most of my baking)
I used cake mixes
altho I used to bake brownies from scratch
what kind of cake are you bakin' him?
you need lots of ingredients for cake from scratch
flour, and baking powder (or baking soda) ?
and you have to make frosting too
but I bet it will be delicious

Hi, Sweetie. The recipe is from an old cookbook I've had since the 70s. It is chocolate with sour cream in it. The frosting is buttercream. I'm off to the kitchen. I'll let you know how things turn out later. :)
