my mom just forwarded me what her big brother prepared for his daughter and grandaughter for mothers day visit

among the foods I prepared for her was an onion and lox omelet. For dinner I prepared a curry chicken bake. She loved it . it was finger-licking good. For dessert we had fresh California stawberries. It was a gala feast. gus

lox eggs and onions is classic jewish breakfast (delicious)
curried chicken is not (but it sounds yummy)

I love Lox and cream cheese on a bagel...having lived in Chicago for so long, and in a Jewish neighborhood, we often got acquainted with some delicious Jewish foods...

There were little Jewish restaurants, and little Jewish foodstores everywhere

Of course, that was many years ago...when my husband goes back to the old neighborhood, its all gangs now...so sad to see that once lovely neighborhood, neglected and so dangerous...
