The snow slide is high in the North Cascades... the remaining winter snow is wet and heavy with spring rain and melt. It is pretty unusual for there to be a slide like this, especially this late. We had a lot of snow up there this year, though!

A&M mom: Bad local news story. Someone vandalized more than 70 markers at the big cemetery at North Street and Cleveland Avenue here in Oly/Tum. Channel 7 covered it. Stones turned over, broken or smashed, the night before Memorial Day. The first to discover it were relatives bringing flowers this morning. They interviewed a poor sad widow. Broke my heart.

Shameful, thought I would let you know... I assume it will be in the paper in the morning.

Oh gosh, thats terrible...thanks for the headsup, I had not watched the news, and did not know about it...what creeps for doing something like that...

I had metioned earlier in the day, that I was returning from the store, and passed by the Woodlawn Cemetary, near me, the one on the corner of Mullen, and Ruddell Rd...as I passed I noticed a few cars there with women and a group of children putting flowers and flags on each and every grave...it sure looked nice, and stirred my heart to see these little kids doing such a wonderful thing...

And now some smart aleck creeps have to do such a terrible thing to a different cemetary..

I hope they catch the creeps, and penalize them bigtime, and if they are kids, make their parents pay for replacing everything that was vandalized...

I will be sure to watch the news this evening, and get tomorrows paper...this whole incident just makes me sick...thanks for the report...

There has been continueing vandalism at Tahoma National Cemetery....So much so I don't want to be buried there...Why did we even bother to save this country for this and these people?...
