When Mike and Andy were young, they loved to have their collection of rubber bugs, and lizards and such, and they had this big old rubber snake...they loved to hide those things, where they knew I would be at, and they would just sit, and act innocent, and wait to hear me scream out loud, upon finding the snake in the bathtub, or the lizards in the kitchen sink...'Scare mommy', was indeed one of their favorite games...
I think they got that from their father....my hubby has always loved all reptiles...when he was a kid, one time he was down at some river, and caught two big black snakes(non-poisonous ones)....he wanted to keep them, but knew his grandparents(With whom he lived)would never allow him to keep those snakes...
So he snuck them into the house, and hid them in his bedroom...when he went off to school, he put them in his bed, under the covers...while at school, his grandmother was putting his clean washed clothes away, and she noticed the bed moving...so she pulled back the covers, and there were those two big black snakes...
I guess she screamed, and the grandfather came in and got them out, and I guess killed them and buried them...
And when my hubby came home from school, a severe spanking was his reward for the snake trick...
So, my boys have an excuse...like father, like son...altho little boys are notorious for liking anything grizzly, or nasty, or dirty, or just plain rank...good thing I was raised with one brother, two male cousins, and a dad who never believed little girls were just little dainty things to be coddled...he made exceptions for me because I was a girl, but I was expected to carry my own weight with the boys...
