Several Jewish gentlemen were playing poker in the Condo clubhouse when Meyerowitz loses $500 on a single hand, clutches his chest and drops dead at the table. Finkelstein looks around and asks "Who is going to tell his wife?"

They draw straws. Goldberg picks the short one. The rest tell Goldberg to be discreet, be gentle, don't make a bad situation any worse than it is. "Gentlemen! Discreet? I'm the most discreet mensch you will ever meet. Discretion is my middle name, leave it to me."

Goldberg schleps over to the Meyerowitz apartment, knocks on the door, the wife answers, and asks what he wants. Goldberg declares, "Your husband just lost $500 at the poker table, and is afraid to come home." Mrs. Meyerowitz hollers, "TELL HIM HE SHOULD DROP DEAD!"

"Okay, I'll tell him," say Goldberg.

Nah, huh-uh. Not those two. I think both had legitimate reasons for leaving when they did. I'm sorry to see them go, IMHO, they were two of the best we had.
