Interesting. I'll read it later. In a related matter, are you listening to Linda Chavez on KSFO right now? She made the point that even though many Japanese citizens were interned during WWII, Japanese Americans as a whole were very patriotic - many fought in the armed forces. She said she doesn't see that same patriotism in the Arab American communities today. Hmmmmm.

Many Japanese American families came to America to be free and they became proud Americans --- how many Arabs are here for that reason? My guess is just a tiny percentage..... Why are most of the Arabs here?

Morning' .38, I hope you're feeling better today. :)
I have a good friend here who is of Japanese heritage, her father-in-law and his parents were sent to an internment camp. You simply couldn't know nicer people or finer citizens than he and his entire family. They have a large, very successful landscape and landscape design business. They are very civic minded and have contributed inmeasurably to our community. In fact, her father-in-law who is quite old now, lovingly restored a once renown, historical garden that had been neglected and over grown for decades, it is now a must see tourist attraction in the area. We are fortunate to have them.
