Rowd,
Every year for about 6-years we used to help a rancher friend in Challis move his cows to summer range...a 4-day drive. We would stay at Challis Hot Springs and soak every night after 9 and 10-hour days in the saddle. "Nothin' Too Tough For a Cowboy" I always say.

Now that sounds like a fun cattle drive.

Hoffmans invited me to join them for one of their drives....but its been a long time since I've sat a horse for any amount of time, let alone an all day affair.

There are times when I seriously contemplate Missouri Fox Trotters or Tennessee Talkers. I have friends who raise Fox Trotters....and then I stop and think, "nah". I'm sure I could use Hawk or Wolf (the current residents of my pasture)....but those days are behind me. :)
