Yep, and whats more, he would have told everyone what he was doing. Laughing all the while. I was never indignant about his behavior because while he was a crook, he was never a hypocrite. He always delivered solid entertainment value. I'm gonna be sorry to see him spend the rest of his life in the slam.

That is pretty much the same attitude that most voters had about him for years. In fact, when it appeared he had jused up all his magic in a fluke turn of events it ended up that his sole opponent that year was David Duke. Well, no one had a choice, not even us pubbies. You saw bumper stickers all over the state that read:
Vote For The Crook,
It's Important.
