I know that part of our problems stem from being "too strict" in the beginning but then before we became Christians we were terrible partiers and I guess it takes a few years to reach a balance. What I am witnessing is of course, rebellion against all the "rules". Funny thing is I am much more relaxed now but he hasn't quite realized that yet. I was brought up by the kindest father, I think I had one licking in my life. My husband on the other hand was brought up by a Police chief. He actually arrested David once for taking the car and driving it without a license and hitting a telephone pole in Gimli Manitoba. David said by the time he got to court the Judge said " Young man, I don't believe I have to say anything further to you". He just had to pay for the damaged telephone pole. LOL

Then you already have the situation under control. You will never have any problems because they will never do anything that they might get caught at.

Do I have any tips??? Maybe you better ask Servant or Prentice!! I do agree that the friends they have make a HUGE difference. I guess my biggest tip is to keep them involved in so much activities that they have no time to get into trouble!! PLUS be a good example, just like I was last night (ouch!)

That qualifier always kinda bothered me. I always wnated it to read more like "more mature" or even "older." I guess it just goes to show how long-lived our "childishness" can be.
