Exactly! It is like I posted on another thread yesterday, we should have law enforcement on hand at every protest rally of Palestinian and terrorist sympathizers, and simply round them up and demand "papers." If they cannot prove that they are American citizens, they should be sent post haste back to wherever the h*** they came from. If they ARE American citizens they should be put on trial for treason. We need to stop wringing our hands and ACT!

In times of war, especially one of such a grave nature with the potential to destroy us for all time, I do not believe that it is in our best interests by any stretch of the imagination to keep allowing these people in. That seems to me as ludicrous as saying that if a body has cancer, we just let it keep growing while we wait for a cure instead of cutting it out.

What do you do in a country with our prized freedom of speech.... I understand that today Charles Osgood has already critized the Vice President for talking about a general, non-specific threat. (Darlin' is scratching her head, here) Wasn't it just last week that the administration was being lambasted by the press for not advising the public about general, non-specific threats ? The press was even doing more caterwauling than the democrats.

Don't worry about it, after a couple of bombings we in the South at least will play 'Cowboys and Muslims'. People in the 'Blue" areas may whine and whinper about civil rights, but it will be all over in the 'Red' areas

Yes, and the only way to avoid 'probable cause' problems in court is to have congres formaly declare war. That would give the Executive branch the authority to do what was necessary. Thomas jefferson declared war on the Barbary Pirates, who were not a nation, we can declare war on Islamo-Fascist Terrorism.

If war is formally declared by Congress then limits can be placed on freedom of speech. Charles Osgood will not spout off if his network is told it will cost them their broadcast licenses. Newspapers will not spout off if newsprint is rationed and aportioned conditional to their good behavior.

Won't work .. you will have every liberal and ACLU nit wit screaming civil rights abuse ..

Darlin' we have always set some of our liberties aside in time of declared war in order to fight efficiently. We have always take those rights back from the government when the war was over.

This is a war. We need to declare it and do whatever it takes to win it.
